Afolakemi was born into the family of Abayomi (late) and Taiwo Lamina in Lagos, Nigeria. She was born into a Muslim home and converted to a born-again Christian during her secondary School years at Abeokuta Girls Grammar School (AGGS) over 24 years ago.
Afolakemi Oke’s faith walk is ultimately that of God’s Grace and mercy. She has assumed various spiritual leadership roles and has intentionally grown her spiritual purpose towards intercession and prayerfulness. Afolakemi loves to spread the love of Christ all around her by consistently encouraging women’s faith through the gift of intercession and godly counsel. She encourages women to daily embrace the life of faith and abundant grace as they live to enjoy an overflowing life in Christ.
Afolakemi Oke is a seasoned teacher of God’s word, certified Life Coach, Interior decorator, and Personal Effectiveness coach. Afolakemi Oke is a graduate of Guidance and Counsellor from Olabisi Onabanjo University (O.O.U) in Nigeria and currently undergoing her second degree in Social Work (BSW) in the Faculty of Health at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada.
Afolakemi Oke works at New Age Services Inc. as a Community Disability Practitioner Team Leader level 2. She is a dedicated leader and has a track record of providing focused, individualized support services. She is a certified Positive Behaviour Supports (PBS) trainer from the Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS). Afolakemi Oke is happily married to Adeola Oke, a practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy. They are blessed with three wonderful children.
